South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster to Give Keynote at Conference

South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster will be a keynote speaker at the 4th annual 2019 SC Manufacturing Conference and Expo, which will be held Oct. 29th and 30th at the Charleston Area Convention Center.

Gov. McMaster will speak at the Salute to Manufacturing Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, Oct. 30th  at Noon. The awards luncheon is the anchor event of the conference, where up to 30 manufacturing companies in South Carolina will be honored in 10 separate categories. More than 500 manufacturing executives are expected to attend the luncheon to see who takes home the top prizes, including the Lifetime Achievement Award. After Gov. McMaster’s keynote, he will present awards to the winners.

Henry Dargan McMaster became the 117th governor of South Carolina on Jan. 24th, 2017 and was elected to his first full term as governor on Nov. 6, 2018. Prior to serving as Gov., McMaster held the position of attorney general and lieutenant governor.

McMaster received his AB degree in history in 1969 from the University of South Carolina and his JD degree in 1973 from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served on the South Carolina Law Review. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves in the JAG Corps from 1969 to 1975.
