Annual manufacturing conference unveils new made-in-South Carolina recognition program

July 8, 2024 | SC News Biz

South Carolina-made products will take center stage during a new recognition program at the annual South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo.

Palmetto Proud will celebrate products made in The Palmetto State, and the companies that manufacture them.

It can be something small, something big, or even medium — the only requirement is that it’s made in South Carolina.

Nominations for the inaugural recognition event are open and can be found here.

The 2024 South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo is set for Nov. 7-8 at the Greenville Convention Center.

Palmetto Proud honorees will be recognized during a luncheon on Nov. 7, which will feature a keynote speaker.

“South Carolina is a hotbed of manufacturing ingenuity,” said Scott Warofka, associate publisher of SC Biz News, which hosts the South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo. “Palmetto Proud is our way of shining a spotlight on the innovative companies that call South Carolina home. It’s a celebration of all things manufactured right in our backyard.”

This year’s South Carolina Manufacturing Conference and Expo will have a theme of innovation, with content sessions centering around the latest emerging technology trends and their impact on the manufacturing industry, including artificial intelligence, virtual reality, autonomous vehicles, as well as sustainability.
