Fayat Group distribution center completed in Ridgeway

Cohn Construction has completed the new 100,000-square-foot distribution center for the Fayat Group, located on a 30-acre site in Ridgeway.

The distribution center is designed to support Fayat Group’s growing North American operations and includes 96,500 square feet of fully conditioned warehouse space and 3,500 square feet of office space. Constructed with precast concrete walls and a structural steel frame, the building provides a 32-foot clear height to accommodate high-pile storage and expanded material handling capacity.

Construction was completed within a 35-week schedule, with site circulation planned to streamline truck movement and material flow, according to a news release. The warehouse is air conditioned to maintain consistent temperature and humidity for stored materials. The facility also includes an ESFR fire suppression system, along with electrical and special systems designed to support expanding logistics and distribution capabilities and future expansion for an additional 100,000 square feet.

“We worked side by side with the Fayat team throughout the project,” Brian E. Pattison, president of Cohn Construction, said in the news release. “That partnership helped us deliver a high-quality distribution center that supports their operations today and positions them well for long-term growth.”

Fayat Group in 2025 announced its plans to invest $13.7 million in the distribution facility, a project the company said will create 75 new jobs. The France-based company has several divisions and its South Carolina facilities will serve the division that produces road construction equipment.
